Coming Soon:

Health Information Exchange (HIE) Market Analysis: Leading Vendors,  Market Trends and Evolution Date of Publication: August 2010

Abstract:
The HIE market is heating up as over $560M dollars of stimulus funding (ARRA) flows into the market for creating statewide HIEs.  An even larger market may be that of private exchanges that are being created by Independent Delivery Networks as they seek to establish tighter relationships with their affiliated practices to drive new business.

While these activities create a robust market for HIE vendors, it has also created significant confusion in the market as numerous vendors seek to position themselves as full solution providers.  Looking more closely, however, one finds a market that has not settled on one clear set of need and requirements for a given HIE, be it public or private.  This makes it exceedingly difficult both for those adopting these solutions (which do I chose to meet my specific needs and requirements) and those providing solutions (how do I measure up to other solutions in the market).

This report, the result of extensive primary and secondary research including interviews with all leading HIE vendors and numerous end users, will provide a clear classification of the HIE market with extensive profiles of over 20 vendors who currently offer an HIE solution. The report will also discuss some key issues in the market place (e.g., CCD vs. CCR, open versus closed platforms, etc.) and outline the future evolution of this market and how those adopting such solutions will need to prepare for this future state.

Advent of the Health Cloud: Personal Health Platforms & Their Future Impact Date of Publication: TBD

Abstract:
This 20 plus page report provides a detailed overview on current technology trends in cloud computing leading to the rise of “development platforms in the cloud” such as Salesforce.com’s recently released Force.com.  In healthcare, there are three major Personal Health Platforms (PHPs), Dossia, Google Health and Microsoft’s HealthVault.  These three platforms and the ecosystems they are creating have the potential of significantly altering the healthcare landscape.  This report will provide detailed profiles of these three platforms, assessing both strengths and weaknesses and provide a forecast as to how these platforms will evolve and subsequently impact the healthcare industry.
